Sexually transmitted diseases range from the incurable, like HIV, to the pesky (think pubic lice). Being knowledgeable about STDs and their symptoms, treatments and effects is important, especially in the black community, where some STDs have reached epidemic proportions. African Americans are disproportionately affected by HIV, gonorrhea, HPV, chlamydia, genital herpes and syphilis -- to name a few. Thankfully, many of these STDs, with the exceptions of HIV and herpes -- are curable, but if they aren't treated early enough, they can lead to any number of complications, including infertility, cancer, blood and joint disease and even death. As National STD Awareness Month comes to an end, Black Voices put together a list of some of the most common STDs. Read, learn and be safe!

Take it easy you're jumping the gun nobody is casting judgement ,just because someone says a biblical principal doesn't mean they can't be speaking from experience maybe they are maybe they aren't but just learn to listen to helpful info when given instead of i'm going to do it my way mental . The everybody must be looking at me or refering to me attitude.

I find it strange that the world has come to this. I'm told its a physical thing. Some young men have been mentally abused by their mothers. Some young women has been abused by her father.Hatred of men/ Hatred of women. Man should not lie with man. Thus, everyone in this world has sexual interest. You should follow the bibles rules. They are the rules of man.To change Gods rules is to say you are God. Or that God almighty is wrong. If your hind quarters get a litlte hot, there are toys for adults everywhere. Buy it for your wife and allow her to satisfy your extra needs. No one would love you any different. God purposely made eve for man. To go any other route is to say that The Lord God Almighty is wrong or to say that he made you wrong. God doesn't make mistakes humans do under the influence of satan.Confussion is the devils way.If he can't confuse you mental then he'll try physically. The distruction of the family has destroyed the fabric of life.The mothers love and the fathers direct intervention such as the strap controls the structure. The absence of God leaves the devil. This country was founded with God for God. Yet, we allow non believes and scientist to take God out of law, school.etc. Where will you be when the Lord Jesus returns. Trying to make people believe you are the wrong sex or making and effort to be in the new world. Save our children from total distruction. Race's are dying off for the love of sex. Teach them that sex is apart of Love. They think that Love means sex. Without love their should be no sex. Every soul that becomes one flesh is one flesh forever.Yet we have stated that it is ok to leave your wife and children for another.Total distruction. How far have you spread yourself from merging. You never forget because they become a part of you for life. Sex is a great thing between two loving married adults. Where did we fall off the ship. Theropy/church is widely needed in our future if we are to survive. This was not written to offend anyone, but to mend.Change isn't always the right thing to do.
Fathers stay in your childrens lives, no matter what. Women you need a man to raise a boy. He is the example the boy needs. Women stop teaching your daughters to hate men.
Remember why Lot was told to flee.
STD = Stop This Distruction or
STD = Sexually Trans. Disease.

I was sadden by the HIV/AIDS event in this country. I say event because what I had hoped would be a very immediate, aggressive, and deadly disease turned into nothing more than the common cold. I was hoping for forced personal restrictions against catching HIV/AIDS from another since we know the adulterers, cheaters, etc. Are more abundant than once thought. Maybe the next super virus will really be the ONE which force self-control on all.

To be compleltely honest I am an African American man who is educated, and I know the truth. Your body is your temple be honest with your self, and those who you allow in your temple and please pratice safe sex, and must of all get right with God becuase in real respect the greater high power makes all the decissions in everyones life so Diesease is nesssary population controle if you dont won't to be a victim of it then do what is right be safe dah.

I think the media plays a big role in promoting sex. It's in books, movies, TV shows, commercials, print ads,
They rarely show the consquences of sex because the media has used sex to sell. This needs to change!The media could be used to encourage people of the risk involved in "Sex in The City" etc. We the people need to be more aware of the role of the media in promoting sex. Write the ad compainies on Madision Ave. Express your concerns. You could protest by refusing to buy stop buying their junk. It's gone too far.

If you don't want to egt any STD's then simply try praticing "SAFE SEX". And, also try not laying down with every person that comes along...especially you black women! Yeah, I know I'll get a few responses from BW saying that they do pratice safe sex, or only try to blame BM...as usual, but I know far too many BW that don't even mandate that their partners pratice safe sex! But, then they only want to blame BM because of their poor choices, and their general lack of irresponsibility!
