@Black Voice
Why is it that damn near EVERY article I see about Black women in America here on BV is a negative one...It's like my mother told me..."if you don't have anything positive to add be quiet"..and IF the article itself isn't negative the headline sure is...

im disgusted, this news about the pregnancy's and abortions from the very same people who voted against same sex marraige here in CA. So let me get this straight, Its ok for men and women to continue to have unweded sex, unprotected sex, raise kids without both parents, but its not ok for same sex people to be married, thats the view of the black community. what a double standard. my position, who gives a damn!

Who da fugg are you to say what the position of the black community is? Huh? Who are you? If you're a gay man/woaman please stop equating your fight with the black American struggle. There is a difference between a fight and a struggle. If you want to fugg someone of the same sex, we don't give a damn. Just don't equate it to our struggle.
Peace

Besides, black people are not the one that said that a marriage is between a man and a woman, God did. So, take the argument up with Father Jehovah

It doesn't appear that those posting here actually listened to what the Doctor had to say. She said nothing derogatory/negative about black women. She was simply responding to some of the negative information that has been in the media and stating reason why some receive substandard or delayed healthcare.
At least listen before going on a tangent. It benefits all of us to be informed.

to the commentor who put me on blast for my opinion about this issue, thats fine. im me, and I wasnt comparing any one struggle to another, I was just saying simply, WHO CARES? IF YOU CANT SEE THE PROBLEM with having kids left and right and how it affects everyone, then you must be one of the black people in the community that feels that, prison incarceration isnt a big deal either. Hell if it wasnt for the many gay men in society, there would be hardly any black men in society...there is a large percentage of us incarcerated you know. So you go ahead, continue to have unprotected sex inthe 21st centruy and have babies and God forbid you contract HIV...(I wont even go into those stats of the rising infection rate in black women) you go on and isolate the gay community like you have been, blast the fags and dykes, makes us the bad guys , sit up in church and sneakin with the Deacon, segregate us. thats fine, I dont care. But who I am is someone who is tred of paying taxes to raise kids being raised by mothers, while daddy is off to the next piece of pussy.

You know, over time I've come to realize that our society is pretty messed up all together. People that I thought as a child were the ones to look up to are sometimes the ones that are doing the exact same immoral, unethical, filthy things that many of our parents taught us not to do.
I used to think that the police were supposed to be held to a higher standard because of the position they held. Now, more often than not, the people we hire as officers are as corrupt and dirty as the criminals they are supposed to be protecting us from. Our physicians don't don't get to know us like they used to; they're under pressure and triple booked to see as many patients as possible. Money is the key, not quality of life. Our clergy are preaching about our God and salvation while having an extramarital affairs or molesting children. Our teachers are under- appreciated and burning out, abusing our children verbally or neglecting to teach them accordingly. And the parents...our women (all races) are so busy trying to find Mr. Right at "Club Hoochie," dressing like they're about to walk the street and wondering why their daughters are on the children's playground, swinging from more than just the monkey bars. Our men aren't even held to a higher standard because women have allowed them to act like kids. More men are clubbing and playing video games or checking out the latest booty jiggling video, fantasizing about what they'd like to do with her instead of working on a stable, adult relationship with a classy, respectable woman.
Look at what we watch on TV and listen to in music - sexually explicit, erotic, temptations. Don't ever believe that the music you or your children hear doesn't influence you. A child or adult who's sexually charged anyways, listens to or watches suggestive material is only feeding those sexual thoughts and urges. I mean, sex is appealing and sex is a wonderful experience (hopefully) -WITH THE RIGHT PERSON- so ask yourself, "What is it about the sexual music or TV shows that you like?" The answer is that its talking about sex. Sure, you may be going to go have sex anyways,and the music/TV didn't MAKE you do it, but I see that self- restraint is not widely practiced nowadays.
Families need to start to become true, solid family units again. It's so easy to make a family, but it is hard work and sacrifice to build a productive,emotionally healthy family.

When we look at history and genocide it is a wonder how so many blacks would support an orginization that was founded by someone who wanted to wipe out the black race.
Margaret Sanger the founder of planned parenthood stated: "We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America, by Linda Gordon she also said: The purpose in promoting birth control was "to create a race of thoroughbreds," she wrote in the Birth Control Review, Nov. 1921 (p. 2)
check the stats for yourself use the census info of the population opposed to the amount of each race aborted. it is scary.

People should be aware - and take a staand against racist, classist, anti-woman activities such as this Californian woman's campaign to steralise drug addicts. Truly reprehensible.
