Your Daily Affirmation for Friday, July 9, 2010:

"God has given me the power to initiate the experiences of my life. Today I accept full responsibility for my life, knowing that when I become that which my heart desires, I open wide the channels through which it can come into my experience. What a wonderful life!"
Today's affirmation was inspired by a saying my Mom taught me. Mom has a saying for every ocassion. It goes like this: 'I went outside to find a friend and could not find one there. I went outside to be a friend and friends were everywhere.' Simple, but profound, these are surely words that hold some real valuable insight for those of us who desire to live the "good life" that is possible for each of us. The message in the rhyme is that I have to take the initiative and be the initiator first, in order to see, have, receive and experience the good I seek. Whether it's friends, love, gifts, health. The first move is yours. What moves will you make today?
Wishing you peace, joy, health, wisdom, love, acceptance and all manner of prosperity!
First BE, Then Have.
Blessings,

Hey B.J.,
Good to see Black people with resources. Here's an idea I have. Someone, like you (with cred) writes a Being Black in America for Dummies Book.
It will contain all the valuable information Whites (and the few successful minorities) have to getting by in America.
For instance chapter one will be focused on personal finances. The chapter could talk about how rich Whites don't own credit cards and that they hold all their cash in foreign accounts and in their mattress. How they shop at Costco, Salvatoin Army and Walmart and return most of their name brand clothes. Then chapter five tells how to buy a house by saving at least 10,000 for a down payment which can be done in about two years.
Chapter 18 can touch on society. Like how to react like successful people do by ignoring other people and create your own morals and edicts for others to follow. Also that traveling is OK to do, and that branching out and finding friends who don't live around the corner from you is acceptable. You know stuff like that.
