That's Fit, our sister site from the AOL family, posted the amazingly inspiring story of Caroline Jhingory. This DC native took control of her life and lost 140 pounds in the process. Here's what she has to say about her what made her make that change: "I was sick of wearing girdles to fit into certain outfits and sick of being the girl that guys never acknowledged. I had not worn a bathing suit since I was nine years old, I was never able to ride a roller coaster because the safety bar did not fit over my stomach, and I did not have my first boyfriend until graduate school. Being obese had caused me to miss out on enjoying simple things in life."

Positive stories like this have very little or no comments. Let it be gossipy stuff where you really do not know if true or not and the comments are numerous in pages. But stories such as this one are true and so one writes to say Way to Go my sister - you proved that with hard work - it is possible to get in shape - regardless of how long it takes.

Losing that much weight requires true dedication-KEEPING the weight off means a complete lifestyle change. The journey truly begins when one has to practice portion control, excercise regularly, and enjoy the food that's not so good for you in moderation.
