95-Year-Old Ida Keeling Sets Running Record

If this isn't inspiration to hit the gym, then what is? Brooklyn, NY resident Ida Keeling, 95, recently set a world record for running 60 meters in under 30 seconds - 29.86 seconds, to be exact.


At 4'6" and 83 pounds, Keeling started running at 67 at the suggestion of her daughter Shelley and has since gone on to win a number of medals and trophies for her age group. In fact, she ran her first 5K race at 69!

While some aspire to merely live to 95, Keeling hopes to see 108 - four years more than her late grandmother, who passed away at 104. See her inspiring story below.
